CA: CPUC invites public comment on development of utility Distributed Resources Plans
The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has initiated a new rulemaking to guide the state’s electric investor-owned utilities (IOUs) in the development of their Distributed Resources Plans (DRPs), and to review, approve, or modify and approve the plans as envisioned in AB 327. As part of the rulemaking, the CPUC has invited comment on a list of 16 questions. The IOUs are required to file proposed DRPs by 7/1/2015 by Public Utilities Code Section 769, which was created by A.B. 327. The deadline for responses to the CPUC’s 16 questions is 9/5/2014.
